WICKETY WAK STAR LOSES
BATTLE WITH CANCER
By Shirley Broun
YESTERDAY afternoon I checked in to read the latest notifications on Facebook.
A post from entertainment industry stalwart Brian Fogarty caught my eye. Something about my dear friend Greg Doolan. `Oh what's Greg up to,' I thought inquisitively. Then I read it:
"Another shock! Too young and a great talent -- Greg Doolan (Wickety Wak) sadly passed away this afternoon @ only 63 yrs of age."
Can't be right, I thought and read it again.… Members read the rest!

Greg Doolan pays tribute to Wak's Magic Moari
By SHIRLEY BROUN

THE Easter weekend was a time of reflection as tears welled in the eyes of renowned entertainer Greg Doolan, following the death on Thursday of Wickety Wak co-star and long time mate Pahnie Jantzen.

“Just thinking about him chokes me up,” said Greg as he struggled to gain composure.

“Only 10 days before his death, we were singing together on stage at Twin Towns Services Club, and despite being ill for quite a while and in a wheelchair he performed Louis Armstrong’s `What a Wonderful World’ with faultless precision … a true professional to the end.”

Greg said it was an impromptu performance that would be long remembered.
