New home for The Voice Australia

THE NINTH Season of The Voice Australia has found a new home.

Currently screening on Nine Network, the popular talent show began filming in new studios at Moorebank in Sydney's South West in February this year.

David Mott, CEO and Managing Director of ITV Studios Australia, the production company behind The Voice said Moorebank, which is located within the City of Liverpool, provided the answer to Sydney’s lack of studio space to produce the latest series.

“The large warehouse in Moorebank presented a fantastic opportunity for us to purpose-build a working studio of such a scale unlike anything that already exists in Sydney,” he said.

This year The Voice features judges Kelly Rowland, Guy Sebastian, Delta Goodrem and Boy George who all have a challenging job ahead judging from the amazing talent that is lighting up the stage on every episode.

Among the standout performances so far is 12-year-old Emmagen Rain from Northern New South Wales ... the youngest ever contestant on The Voice Australia ... and she blew the minds of everyone including judge Kelly Rowland who could not believe the `guts in her voice' (especially at such a young age) while Guy Sebastian told the young up and coming vocalist:

"There's like, old people, that are like, 30 that got no chair turns... And you got one!"

The young rising star, who performed the Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert duet `Something Bad' has joined Delta Goodrem's team and said after her performance:

"It's so surreal to actually be here."

The chairs of all four judges were also quick to turn when 25-year-old Masha Minjoyan set the stage on fire with her rendition of the Celine Dion hit `All By Myself'. 

The 2013 winner of The Voice Armenia has since moved to Australia and was keen to get back on stage saying: 

"It is a big pressure to perform here in this big country. I hope I can do it." ... And she did!

Her amazing performance was acknowledged by a standing ovation from all four judges and the audience and paved the way for this immensely talented performer to join a delighted coach in Kelly Rowland.

The Voice airs Sunday 7pm and Monday and Tuesday 7.30pm on Nine and 9Now.
