From the iconic `Climb Ev’ry Mountain' to the gentle wisdom of `Both Sides Now' and Debra Byrne's poignant `So Soon', the album features songs with a message or a moral; songs that teach and inspire and urge us to battle our demons and follow our dreams - to ‘pin our clouds’.

From the contemporary and arousing `You’ll Never Walk Alone. to the soaring heights of `One Voice.', Pinning Clouds is a beautiful collection of some of the finest songs in the songbook.

Dark explains, "This album is like a treasure hunt for lovers of classical music, as we've hidden many snippets of opera and other classical songs.

"These are all songs that I have loved for what seems a lifetime, and they never fail to make me want to follow rainbows. We need a bit more of that in the world at the moment!"

Dark’s impressive performance portfolio encompasses opera, music theatre, cabaret and concert performances, and includes the coveted roles of Fricka and Second Norn (Der Ring Des Nibelungen), Amneris (Aida), The Composer (Ariadne auf Naxos), Carmen (Carmen), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Katisha (The Mikado), Dorabella (Così Fan Tutte), Santuzza (Cavalleria Rusticana) and Herodias (Salome).

She also performed the role of Amnerias in Aida as a part of Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour series by Opera Australia.

Jacqueline recently performed the role of Mother Abbess in the Australian tour of The Sound of Music to great critical acclaim, reprised her role as Fricka in Opera Australia’s Ring Cycle and performed the lead role in the Australian premiere of Rufus Wainwright’s opera Prima Donna for Adelaide Festival.

Due to popular demand, Jacqui Dark will be also performing her highly acclaimed and hysterical cabaret with partner in crime Kanen Breen, Strange BedFellows Present - Bedlam for two nights only at The Leadbelly (formerly The Vanguard) in Newtown on August 7 and 8.
