EXTENSIVE TOURING PROMPTS MOVE

TO SELL SYDNEY HOME

ON THE eve of their Wiggles Australia Tour which kicks off on June 5, wedded purple and yellow Wiggles Lachlan Gillespie and Emma Watkins have placed their home at Wollstonecraft, New South Wales, on the market.

The historic three bedroom home, originally built circa-1896 as one of four apartments in the building has been the place the couple have hung up their hats after extensive touring for the past three years.

Unfortunately, it is the Wiggles hectic touring schedule which has, according to Lachlan and Emma, prompted the latest move to sell their prized home.

A spokesman for Stone Real Estate at Lane Cove said the couple were time poor when it came to enjoying their 184sqm apartment to its optimum.

She said the English-style home had been refurbished to capture the essence of the period and contained exquisite touches of brilliance from Emma, along with French windows, soaring 3.5m ceilings and a private foyer.

The well-appointed apartment also features glimpses of the bridge, city skyline and water, according to the spokesman, and would be ideal for those wishing to downsize or young families.

The home, in Shirley Road, is expected to fetch around $2 million.
