PROMPTS DATE CHANGE

FOR POPULAR COMEDIAN'S

BUSTING A NUT IN SYDNEY

IT HAS been three long years since comedian Felicity Ward has performed at her honorary hometown of Sydney as part of the Comedy Festival season and not even a coveted TV spot on UK television was going to stop that going ahead.

New role in UK sitcom sees Sydney Comedy Festival show dates change for Felicity Ward's Busting A Nut.

Back home in Australia on her Busting A Nut tour, the Central Coast born Felicity has been receiving rave reviews for her laugh out loud show.

She is jumped up, hyped up and ready to make Aussie audiences bust their own nuts as she takes them through her hilarious exploits of what happens when you take a year off comedy.

NEW ROLE PROMPTS DATE CHANGE

Her Sydney show dates were originally scheduled for Friday and Saturday April 26 and 27, but an offer to be part of a UK sitcom – one of those roles that you just can’t turn down – has unexpectedly landed in Felicity’s lap, right at the tail end of her Australian tour.

While some performers would cancel their shows and hike back overseas, there was no way this comedian was going to miss the chance to perform to her fans in New South Wales.

She has instead combined her show dates into Tuesday April 23.

“My tour in Australia so far has been absolutely amazing,” she says.

“Brisbane, Adelaide and now Melbourne have reminded me why I love coming home so much.

"The idea of not playing my, sort of, hometown of Sydney – Camperdown, massive represent – was unacceptable. So yes, it is on a Tuesday, not exactly a party night. But I also know how loud and fun and rambunctious Sydney audiences can be.”

SELL OUT SEASON

Felicity’s return to Australia is hot on the heels of her sell-out Busting A Nut UK tour and following her nomination for the most prestigious award in live comedy, Best Comedy, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2018.

Since her last trip to Oz, she’s been busy! She’s starred in her own Netflix special as part of the series Live From The BBC, also appeared on the BBC’s Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, recorded her own BBC Radio-4 series Appisodes on whether technology can save her from herself, regularly co-hosts The Guilty Feminist podcast, and co-hosted her own: The Urnbelievable Ashes Podcast.

She’s even managed to squeeze in a cameo in the upcoming series of ABC TV’s The Let Down.

There isn’t much Felicity Ward can’t do. A comedian, actor and writer, she has been garnering acclaim across the board for her works.

Her show What If There Is No Toilet? earned her great recognition for breaking down the stigma around mental health and IBS, which came off the back of her acclaimed documentary Felicity’s Mental Mission in 2016.

A UK TV REGULAR

A regular face on UK TV, she has opened for the likes of Katherine Ryan, Maria Bamford and Amy Schumer, to name a few, and has more awards and award-nominations than you can poke a stick at.

She’s now back touring her first national Australian tour in three years because it’s been the only chance she’s had with such a busy UK schedule.

Felicity promises her Busting A Nut show will have audiences busting one with her – the show is all about laughs and she hopes Sydney will come out to see her.

“I hope you can make it to the new date, but refunds will be offered to everyone who can’t,” she says.

“Thanks for understanding and see you in a few weeks Sydney!”

Tickets for Felicity Ward’s rescheduled Busting A Nut Sydney show are on sale from now.

Ticketholders will be contacted by Ticketek to be moved into the rescheduled show or offered a full refund.
