CELEBRATING Victorians' love of all things culture, a new music festival is launching this December to embrace everything great about the Bellarine Peninsula – wide open spaces, vineyards and fantastic live music.

The Bellarine Music Festival kicks off on Saturday 11 December with an impressive line-up of Aussie music royalty and the excitement doesn’t stop for the rest of the month, with shows every Saturday and Sunday, excluding Christmas weekend. There is also a special New Year’s Day event to celebrate 2022 in proper style.

Organised by Premier Artists, the aim of the festival is to get live music happening in the regions again, and with a line-up that features the likes of Brian Mannix & The Androids, Ross Wilson & The Peaceniks, Daryl Braithwaite, Forever 80s, and The Black Sorrows, plus many more across the month, there has never been a better time to support the live music industry.

Brad O’Brien from Premier Artists says the team has been working diligently behind the scenes to release a series of shows supporting our great Australian talent, with more to come.

“Teaming up with Bellarine Estate and MoonMother, where we have run successful shows in the past, was the logical place to launch the Bellarine Music Festival,” he says.

It’s great to get back into regional Victoria where we can provide entertainment for the locals, as well as attract lots of other visitors to the region. Our aim is to provide very intimate COVID-safe concerts to get people back to live outdoor music.”

The first concert in the series kicks off on Saturday 11 December with an impressive line-up featuring Brian Mannix & The Androids, The Chantoozies and Taxiride. The next day on Sunday 12 December, the event is headlined by Ross Wilson & The Peaceniks, The Badloves and Kings Canyon.

The series returns the following weekend on Saturday 18 December with Daryl Braithwaite and JR Reyne, and on Sunday 19 December with Forever 80s and JR Reyne. A special New Year’s Day event is scheduled for Saturday 1 January with The Black Sorrows and Darlinghurst.

Brad says there is accommodation available on the Bellarine Peninsula and hopes music lovers will make a trip out of the event and see what else the region has to offer.

“Access to the Bellarine Peninsula is excellent via road, or sea now with the Port Phillip Ferries direct from Docklands,” he says.

Tickets for the Bellarine Music Festival are on sale now, there are limited tickets available to these intimate COVID-safe outdoor concerts.
