HUGH Jackman, Naomi Watts and Jacki Weaver did Australia proud alongside Hollywood's movie elite as each waited with anticipation for the announcement of winners at the 85th Academy Awards in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, millions of Aussies were switched on to the live broadcast to back their immensely talented `home-grown' stars to take out the `big one' in each of their respective categories, but alas it was not meant to be ...
