I've just heard the sad news that Australian television and showbiz legend and friend-to-all Bert Newton passed away last night, 30 October, 2021, aged 83.

It is no secret he has endured a tough decade with his health but rarely did he let on his anguish or fears to his adoring public.

Rather, every time he was interviewed or captured by cameras, his sparkling smile flashed for all to see and as we all know, his smile was infectious and often tinged with a hint of devilishness.… Members read the rest!

A thrilling and compelling Broadway fable about friendship, compromise and the high price of success, Merrily We Roll Along played its first preview in June before shutting due to the Covid 19 lockdown in Sydney.
