AUSTRALIAN COUNTRY MUSIC is in good hands with the likes of superstar Keith Urban being recognised at major events around the world.
On November 14, 2018 Keith, who is married to another major Aussie success story Nicole Kidman, was named Entertainer of the Year at the 52nd Annual Country Music Association Awards in Nashville, USA.
And it wasn’t the first time … Keith first won the award in 2005 and 13 years later he is still going strong.
According to reports, the humble music star who was in Australia last week to host the ARIA Awards was shocked when his name was announced and fought away tears as he thanked Nicole and his team of supporters.
Keith was in good company at the awards, held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville USA, where Carrie Underwood was also a big winner taking out CMA Female Vocalist of the Year.
The CMA Awards have been a major annual country music event since they were first held in 1967.
