NEW ALBUM `THIS CRAZY LIFE' GOES TO #1 ON ITUNES COUNTRY CHART
This mini festival of the hot new wave of country music will be headlined by the Wolfe Brothers and feature Gord Bamford (Canada), Caitlyn Shadbolt, Troy Kemp, Christie Lamb, Craig Heath and Jody Direen (NZ).
AUSTRALIA’s popular country rockers The Wolfe Brothers have released their third album `This Crazy Life' and the Tassie boys are also gearing up for a massive national tour with a difference, to hit the road this October.
This Crazy Life, released on June 3, went straight to #1 on the iTunes Country Chart.
To celebrate the release of the album, Stephen White Productions along with CMC, have put together a tour that is a travelling country music festival, showcasing the best of the new wave of country music.
Stephen White says the tour will feature seven acts from three countries for one night only in each of the tour cities.
“The new wave of Australian country music artists needs a platform to connect with the Australian public,” he says. “We are behind the times with the public’s perception of what country music is. In America country music is a force to be reckoned with and every city, large and small, has at least one country music radio station. In fact there are more country radio stations than pop or rock stations in the USA.
"Country music has such a broad appeal across America that it is common for country artists to fill football and baseball stadiums regularly in huge urban centres like New York, Boston, and Chicago. Country music is massive business in America due to its broad appeal in all demographics.
”Stephen says the mini travelling festival will showcase what is happening in modern country music.“The idea is to entice people to come and experience the energy and excitement that The Wolfe Brothers deliver and to also check out these other artists, all of whom are incredibly talented performers,” he says.
“The music is exciting, the songs connect with people and my view is that in many cases it is rock music with a storyline. It is music for the masses. Check it out folks.
”The This Crazy Life Tour will feature The Wolfe Brothers, Gord Bamford (Canada), Caitlyn Shadbolt, Troy Kemp, Christie Lamb, Jody Direen (NZ) and Craig Heath.
