By On With the Show's SHIRLEY BROUN
SINCE May this year (2019) Hugh Jackman has been on an exhaustive world tour starring in his highly successful show `The Man, The Music, The Show'.
His first stop was Glasgow and he has since left no stone unturned to take his amazing, high energy show to as many destinations as was humanly possible across many countries including -
Belgium, Hamburg, Berlin, Koln, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Zurich, Mannheim, Paris, Manchester, Birmingham, Dublin, London, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, St Paul, Detroit, Toronto, Boston, New York City, Madison Square Garden, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Atlanta, Tampa Florida, Sunrise, Dever, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, MGM Grand Garden Arena, Glendale, San Diego, San Jose, Hollywood Bowl, Qudos Bank Arena Sydney Australia, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, and Rod Laver Arena Melbourne.
A whiz on social media, Hugh has kept everyone totally engaged as he posted updates from around the world. It was almost like being with him every step of the way!
Tomorrow, August 21 and on Sunday, August 24 this brilliant performer will be at the RAC Arena in Perth followed by his final concert `Downunder' on August 31 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
Then, on September 6 and 7, Hugh will be in New Zealand before heading back to America to team up with special guest Keala Settle who you may remember as the bearded lady Lettie Lutz in the musical The Greatest Showman, for shows at: Boston, TD Garden on October 1; Philadelphia, Wells Fargo Center - Oct 2; Long Island, NYCB Live - Oct 5; Newark, Prudential Center - Oct 6; Pittsburgh, PPG Paints Arena - Oct 9; Columbus, Schottenstein Center - Oct 10; Chicago, United Center - Oct 11; Indianapolis, Bankers Life Fieldhouse - Oct 12; Kansas City, Spring Center - Oct 13; San Antonio, AT & T Center - Oct 15; and Cludad de Mexico, Arena Cludad de Mexico - Oct 19 an 20.
I have to wonder ... with such a full-on schedule, is this many gigs in one go some kind of `all time record'? And will he add yet more shows to the tour before it ends?
One thing is for sure ... Hugh Jackman is one fit performer. I take my hat off to you Hugh. You are simply amazing. Well done!
