ARE YOU READY TO PARTY?
THE BALLOONS are set, the punch has been spiked, and 58-kilograms of pure entertainment – Sammy J - is on the road… selling out his Major Party live tour across the country, with audiences jumping on board!
The raucous response has already seen sold-out shows in Sydney and Canberra, and now the ABC satirical comedian has added his second extra and third shows in both Brisbane and Melbourne, plus an extra show in Adelaide, all while being on the way to selling out the stunning Regal Theatre in Perth.
After being offered the coveted Clarke and Dawe TV spot on the ABC last year, Sammy J made it his own, with the country tuning in every Thursday night to make sense of the news through his bite-sized satirical eyes.
He recently skewered the 2019 federal election, with his mockumentary, Countdown to Glory.
This year alone, he has seen his clips viewed millions of times the world over; whether it’s his explanation of Brexit via the medium of a yoga routine, his heart-breaking response to the Christchurch massacre as a Playschool presenter, or breaking up the entire state of Queensland by country and western superstar, Buster J.
Mixing old school sketch with stand-up, songs, audience participation and shenanigans, Sammy J brings all his favourite characters from his weekly TV spot, without the restrictions of an ABC lawyer!
During his Sammy J - Major Party National TourBuster, J will be playing his new single live. The entire audience will do yoga and take part in a royal commission.
The Government Coach will launch his new autobiography `Full Credit' before the show ends with an arena spectacular version of Playground Politics - so this is your chance to join Sammy on stage dancing as a renewable energy source in a cardboard ‘electric’ car!
When he is not delving deep into the minefield of political drama, Sammy J also performs as part of the award-winning musical comedy duo, Sammy J & Randy, racks up ARIA Awards – he has three – and in 2018, released his debut novel, The Long Class Goodnight. His latest album, Symphony in J Minor, is out now through ABC Music / Universal.
Tickets for Sammy J’s Major Party Tour are on sale now.
