The Gold Coast's reigning top female vocalist Marisa Lee.

OUTSTANDING vocalist Marisa Lee achieved a goal last year when she was named Best Female Vocalist in the inaugural Gold Coast Music Awards. "When I first moved from Melbourne to Queensland five years ago my goal was to be the best female singer on the Gold Coast," said Marisa.

On September 25, Marisa's award-winning entry `I'll Always Love You' will be sung at another memorable occasion - her wedding. "I used to dedicate the song to my fiancé at my shows - it is our song," she said.

The Gold Coast Music Award was Marisa's first major acknowledgement from the industry she loves. However, she was also a finalist on Young Talent Time and New Faces earlier in her career. She has since toured as support for Al Martino, Gene Pitney and Gerry and the Pacemakers, performed at the Miss Australia Quest and has become a regular on Ernie Sigley's morning show on national television. She is a popular performer in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast, including clubs, international hotels and private functions.

Marisa is also currently a featured singer with the Manhattan Big Band. Her long term goals are to record a hit single and attract recognition Australia-wide.
