Vote 1 for Hugh Jackman
By SHIRLEY BROUN
NEWS reports have today revealed multi-talented Hugh Jackman's desire to be the `new' James Bond.
Not that the producers are looking for a new 007 at the moment, but it never hurts to let them know of any possible interest. And, our handsome and captivating Hugh would have to be a fore-runner if or when the occasion were to arise.
While I have always been impressed with Sean Connery - the first James Bond, I was a big fan of former Remington Steele star Pierce Brosnan in the role. I look for that handsome, debonaire male with a mysterious, yet captivating and slightly mischievous air. And our home-grown Hugh Jackman has all that and more.
If ever there was a survey to see who would be the movie-watching public's top choice for the role of James Bond (007) my vote would definitely be the multi-talented Hugh Jackman. In fact, it's my prediction the applicants to be `Bond girls' would also spiral to all-time records. Perhaps we could also see the welcome return of Hugh's wife Deborra-Lee Furness to the screen. Now there's a bond too wonderful to break!
