Kidman, Crowe to star at AACTA Awards in Sydney

IT was a happy reunion for Keith Urban when he greeted his wife, Nicole Kidman, and children who flew in this morning for Nicole's special appearance at the 2nd Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Awards to be held tonight at the Star Event Centre, in Sydney.

Still very much in love, the showbiz couple have to endure time apart as each fulfils the requirements of their individual careers - Nicole as an actor, and Keith on tour with his highly successful recording and live performances. While Nicole walks the red carpet at the glittering awards, Keith will be performing at Allphones Arena as part of his `The Story So Far' tour, his biggest ever.

Nicole will be in good company at the AACTA Awards with fellow Australian actor Russell Crowe hosting the event after Hugh Sheridan was unable to fulfil the role. He will lead an impressive cast of presenters including AACTA president Geoffrey Rush and AACTA ambassador Cate Blanchett. The event will see more than 1000 Australian film and television performers and behind the scenes specialists in attendance. Crowe will also host the AACTA International Awards in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The first round of AACTA award winners were announced yesterday in Sydney at the 2nd Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Awards Luncheon.
