Lateral Events presents An Evening with Manu Feildel – Live on Stage in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this May.
An evening with Manu has been described as `full of surprises'.
Throughout the night there will be plenty of audience participation and some practical cooking tips to try at home; and perhaps some clowning, dancing, laughing and a lot of sauce, according to the colourful chef.
“It’s like a theatre variety show,” said Manu. “It’s the essence of Manu in many manifestations piped out on stage”.
Manu is one of the most popular personalities on Australian television as co-host of the long-running top rating series My Kitchen Rules, but he has been a feature on Australian television for over a decade. His appearances include Ready Steady Cook, The Circle, Sunrise, The Morning Show, 9am with David and Kim and co-hosting the series Boys Weekend.
In 2011 Manu won the 11th series of Dancing with the Stars showing that he has an array of skills outside the kitchen.

Childhood passion to entertain

Destined to become a great chef and entertainer, Manu’s great grandfather was a pastry chef, his grandfather and father were chefs, and his mother is a great cook – but as a child Manu saw his future on the stage rather than in the kitchen.
“I have always wanted to do a live theatre show,” said Manu. “These shows will be very surprising and a lot of fun. Yes there will be a lot of cooking, a lot of tips, a lot to learn about French cooking, but there will be so much more that no one expects.”
Audiences will be able to catch Manu at the Riverside Theatre in Perth on May 10, Capitol Theatre Sydney May 13, Art Centre Melbourne May 18 and the Lyric Theatre Brisbane on May 21. Tickets will go on sale on February 23.
