THE Australian Ladies Variety Association (ALVA) came to the Gold Coast this week in the form of President Susie Smither who hosted a special ALVA lunch at South Tweed Heads Sports Club on Monday, October 16.

Dreaming of a career on stage

AT just 15 years old Sasha Gubbins has an impressive resume which includes model, actor, musician and dancer.
“She is a seasoned performer and just loves being on stage. She dreams of a stage career,” said her mother Sonya Gubbins.
The Year 11 Tamborine Mountain College student, who began dancing lessons at the tender age of four, spends most of her time these days either singing or dancing and is currently preparing for her Advanced 1 RAD Exams.… Members read the rest!

VARIETY Today and 150 dedicated supporters saw the new year off in fine spirits as they joined together at top Gold Coast venue, Paradise Country, to celebrate the publication's Second Birthday.

It was a night which brought together entertainment industry members from all areas - performers, managers, agents, media, their families, friends and supporters - and one which highlighted a tremendous kinship and warmth among all attendees.
