Welcome return

DON LANE, who co-founded the Australian Entertainment `MO' Awards 23 years ago with entertainment greats such as Johnny O'Keefe, made a welcome return this year to host the major event.

A multi-award winner, Don was thrilled to take the stage and host the major entertainment indujstry awards at the Sydney Entertainment Centre recently. A total of 38 awards were announced including Australian Ambassadors Tap Dogs, Performers of the Year Human Nature and John Campbell Fellowship Award winner Toni Stevens.

Much loved performers attended the prestigious occasion ranging from the beautiful Julie Anthony, vivacious Maria Venuti and former `MO' host Susie Ellerman to Barry Crocker, the comical Paul Martell (whose wife Jane Scali is starring in Grease) and three out of four of the latest pop idols Human Nature (one was sick at home).

The 23rd Annual `MO' Awards presented live performances by top artists such as Maestro Tommy Tycho, Tommy Emmanuel, David Campbell, a special tribute to Johnny O'Keefe by daughter Vicki and many more. `MO' Chief Executive and his dedicated team voted the night one of the best ever staged.
