DAME VERA LYNN, who has been Patron of the Australian Ladies Variety Association since 1979, continues to deliver for her fans with the release of a brand new album.

It seems there is no slowing down the English-born hit-maker who first stole the hearts of the military during World War II when she was known as The Forces Sweetheart for hits including We'll Meet Again.

On March 20, Australian entertainment icons will gather at The Mooney Mooney Club, overlooking the beautiful Hawkesbury River, to celebrate Vera Lynn's 100th Birthday with a special Charity Luncheon that will raise funds for Dame Vera's own UK charity, Cerebral Palsy.

The proceeds will be donated to the Cerebral Palsy Alliance of Australia.

Organiser and fellow entertainer Toni Stevens said tickets are on sale for the event which will bring together some of Australia's most famous performers as well as dedicated fans of Dame Vera Lynn.

"Everything at the function will be focusing on the age Dame Vera will be turning on the day ... 100, including the number of tickets on sale so people have to get in quickly to book,"she said.

"This will be an amazing and unique commemorative day that shouldn't be missed."

Toni said the Mooney Mooney Club was an ideal venue at which to host the celebrations for it is renowned for serving the finest cuisine and drinks are available at club prices.

A special menu has also been prepared by master chef Neil Carpenter.
