As the name suggests the two-hander musical is ideally set to appeal to all theatre-goers including Olivia Newton-John fans as it works its way through 15 of her big hits including Hopelessly Devoted to You, If Not for You, If You Love Me Let Me Know, Banks of the Ohio, Let Me Be There, You’re the One That I Want, Sam, I Honestly Love You, Magic, Physical and Xanadu.

Written by Elise Greig with contributions from Nick Backstrom, `Hopelessly Devoted’ stars Elise Greig and Dash Kruck. Director Ian Lawson has teamed up with designer Josh McIntosh and musical director Tony Byrne for the production.

The story line centres around a middle aged sister and brother, Amy and Andy, who live at home in regional Australia caring for their chronically ill mother.

To escape this mundane existence, Amy creates a fantasy world in her lounge room that revolves around her idol, Olivia Newton-John.

In between working two jobs to pay for the medical bills, Andy indulges his sister’s devotion. He knows that if it weren’t for Olivia, they’d both be going mad.

But Andy is starting to change. He’s ready to move on. The problem is, Amy is perfectly happy in her fantasy world and wants things to stay the same.

A Q&A session with the cast will be held after the show on Tuesday, August 26.
